TGIF! Game Updates for June 26, 2020

Happy Friday everyone! Before we jump into this week’s edition of TGIF, just a head’s up that next Wednesday, July 1st, is Canada Day here in the Great White North so the Kano office (or our home offices) will be closed in observance. There will be a slight delay in responding to tickets after the mid-week, but we’ll be back to business as usual on Thursday.

Now let’s get into what’s new this past week in game development news:

In Game Events

Chill out with new Legendary Ice Crates, available now! Make sure to pick up a Master Three-Pack for a *guaranteed* Legendary item.

A group of rogue scientists have been conducting horrific experiments on the undead, trying to create an unstoppable army of zombies! 

Squad up with your fellow Slayers and take on this brand new Raid Boss and earn new Superior items and Achievements!

We’re giving away FREE Raid Passes over the entire event! You can use these free Passes an unlimited amount of times over the event provided you can kill your Raids, so get Raiding!

Battle Royale Update

Earlier this week we detected that some players were using a gray area of our Battle Royale rules in order to coordinate play and manipulate matches.

While this hasn’t been explicitly called out previously, the Battle Royale is a “free-for-all” and as such is designed to be a solo play experience. Coordination, or “teaming” with other players puts others at a disadvantage when they are trying to play a Battle Royale match in good faith.

Going forward, teaming up with other players for any reason in the Battle Royale will be strictly against the rules of the mode rather than implied. If the game detects that you are cooperating with another player (or players), you can risk suspension from the mode for a length of time.
