TGIF! Viking Clan Updates for December 20, 2024

Happy Friday, players!

Christmas is almost upon us and we hope everyone has completed their gift buying (or at least close enough). The Kano team has been busy this week rolling out a new type of leaderboard that we can’t wait for players to check out. Also a reminder that the office will be closed on Christmas next week, but apart from that your Player Success team will be online to help with anything that comes up. Now let’s jump into the news of the week!

In-Game Updates:

The monstrous beast of the Gods Fenrir have launched an attack against the warriors of Viking Clan! Work with your allies to take on this Raid Boss and claim the rewards you are owed! Defeating this Boss will earn you tons of XP and a loot drop, but that’s not all, because we have something else going on during this event…

Holiday Guild Raids are here! As you and your Guild members take action against the Fenrir Raid Boss and fill up the meter you will eventually summon the Old Man Winter Guild Raid Boss! Work with your Guild to defeat as many of those Bosses as you can and climb the event leaderboard to earn the best rewards. Time to celebrate the season with the Holiday Sale! There are all new seasonal item bundles with Favor Points included. This brand new promotion will only be around until Saturday December 21st @ 9AM PST, so check it out while you can. If you are looking to improve your defences then the Candy Cane Warpick will be the weapon for you.

Our newest mini-game makes its return! The Ragnar’s Voyage Challenge is live now and runs until December 23rd. Destroy the ship to earn XP and Cash and by dealing enough damage and destroying it, you’ll earn yourself the clear bonus Item! We are excited to introduce Seasonal Leaderboards to the game! These new leaderboards will track your progress during limited time “seasons” (both against “Friends” and against the “World”) . At the start of a new season they are reset, giving all players both new and old a chance to compete to the top. The “Friends” category on the Seasonal Leaderboards will also be updated more frequently than done previously. We also still have our All-Time Leaderboards available where you can compare yourself to the top players in the game. Lastly, a reminder that twice a week there are new item drops in-game. Limited Time items on Tuesdays and Limited Quantity on Fridays. Keep an eye out for anything that catches your interest!

Tip of the Week: Remember to check your Social Feeds in-game, so that you can offer help to your fellow Vikings on their Adventures. It’s a great way to help a friend and earn a little extra for yourself.

We recently released a new method for players to acquire Favor Points through a system called Rev U. By completing tasks such as making progress in a game or by filling out a survey, players can start earning extra FP for their account! For our Mobile App players, we now have a new option for purchasing Favor Points, the Xsolla Webstore! Not only does it support more payment methods than what was previously available, but you’ll also have access to exclusive larger bundles of FP! A reminder to our players about completing the Kano ID account upgrade. Eligible players (Facebook/Server 1 players) will see the banner on their homepage in-game near the top and it should only take a couple minutes. There are wonderful benefits to doing so:
